This is A1! The best comes in small packages. B-Band has always thought small and unobtrusive, to let the wood work. A direct descendant of the classic Core99 preamp, the new, single input, A1 preamp has a direct frequency response and 24 dB of gain. The electronics are mounted in a very small tube that is directly coupled with a high quality endpin jack making an all-in-one structure. This makes for easy mounting without adding much mass to the instrument. The A1 kit provides all the mounting hardware, 9-volt hold-tight battery clip and wire harness. Mated to either a UST, the reproduced sound is amazingly clear and pure.

The Acoustic Matrix pickup is an advanced, proprietary co-polymer sensor. This single sensing element aids pickup balance and reproduces a very accurate sonic snapshot of both the strings and the soundboard. Smooth, natural, transparent response and trouble-free installation make it the premier guitar pickup available today. Designed for a slot width of 2.3mm. this transducer is a favourite choice of fingerpickers and solo performers. The "Natural I" is best suited to smaller bodied, concert/auditorium sized guitars including nylon strung.
The endpin jack socket which is included in the price incorporates a pre-amp to further enhance and boost the signal. Full installation instructions are included. This is the humbucking version of the Rare Earth above. It has stacked coils which offer a quieter reproduction. A Brilliance switch is located out of sight on the side of the pickup which provides a subtle rising treble boost, particularly effective for adding a bit of extra sparkle to fingerstyle playing.
