This Guild arch-top guitar recalls a look, sound and feel from an era that has helped define almost every form of music as we know it today. Drawing on influences from swing, jazz, blues, rock 'n roll and country music, Guild has designed a hollowbody electric guitar that can only be described with one word. . . "Rockabilly". The all maple body, known for its rich and smooth tones, is brought to life by its 2 Original DeArmond 2000 pickups. The result is an electric, "twangy" rockin'-country guitar that will attract players both old an new to the sound that started it all.
Built at the venerable guitar maker's Westerly, Rhode Island facilities, this X160 is based on Guild's famous Savoy body shape. The fretboard of the X160 is solid rosewood with pearloid "block" inlays, and is rounded off with an unmistakable Bigsby tailpiece and tremolo bridge. Includes case.
