The craftsmen at Takamine know about building works of art. Each year they release a limited edition acoustic that combines superb sound with a distinctive design. In 1999 Takamine released the LTD-99, also known as “The Mountain”.
As an integral part of the sound-hole, Takamine designed a beautiful mountain rosette; a mountain that actually rises into the sound hole, presenting a striking dimensional departure from standard acoustic designs. Rare Koa, walnut, rosewood, maple and mother-of-pearl are painstakingly cut and inlaid with unequalled precision to create this masterpiece.
Not surprisingly, the LTD-99 sounds every bit as good as it looks featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top which is finely joined using the same methods used by old world luthiers and is book matched to create a perfectly natural grain pattern across the guitar’s face. The back and sides are made of book-matched sets of carefully selected rosewood, while the neck is built from choice mahogany with a fine rosewood fingerboard and a top of the range DSP Pre-Amp EQ with on-board FX.
This fine example is in pristine condition with very light signs of use and is complete with original hard case.
