Joe Pass (1929 -1994) was considered one of the greatest jazz guitarists of all time with his pioneering style of bass-chord-melody and vast vocabulary of inversions and progressions. The Ibanez JP20 signature model crafted in the respected FujiGen-Gakki factory (Japan) between 1980-1990 is now a collectable and highly prized instrument.
This fine early issue example from 1980 with signed label features a single Venetian cutaway on a laminated spruce top with maple back and sides; maple neck with a rich ebony 22-fret bound fretboard; ebony bridge and tail-piece; Mother of pearl Ibanez logo on the headstock with JP monogram inlay.
Includes original fitted hard case.
