In order to help you assess condition of our Pre-Owned stock we individually appraise the instruments into five categories. This is purely a guide and if further information or assurance is required we are happy offer more detailed information, pictures or video's on request.

5/5 (Mint)

Instruments appraised in this category are overall in the highest condition with no visible defects and only very light signs of use. Unless described otherwise they are in original factory specification without modification.

4/5 (Excellent)

Instruments appraised in this category are overall in excellent condition with very light signs of use. May have a some light superficial scratches and tiny indentations in the finish. Possible light fret wear. Unless described otherwise, in original factory specification without modification.

3/5 (Very Good)

Instruments appraised in this category are overall in very good condition. A clean instrument in good order but with signs of use with light scratches, dings, touch-ins, etc. Possible minor fret wear. Wear to hardware etc.

2/5 (Good)

Instruments appraised in this category are overall in good condition but with obvious signs of use. Possible heavier scratches and indentations or chips to the finish.  Possible fret wear. Generally still a great playable instrument offering good value to the working musician. May not be original in specification with some replaced parts etc.

1/5 (Low)

Instruments appraised in this category are in average or low cosmetic condition with obvious heavy signs of use. Item may have repairs or have been modified. Overall still in good working order with no significant issues.
