Released as a limited run in 2005 of only 670 instruments worldwide the 'Historic Collection' J-45 is the forerunner of the current 'True Vintage Series' re-creating the original specifications including a AA Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides, one-piece mahogany neck has a medium C shaped profile with rolled fretboard edges and slight shoulders, generous slab rosewood fretboard with vintage-style fret wire, silk-screened gold Gibson logo, stock Kluson-style nickel tuners with white buttons, Nitro-Cellulose finish.
